We had a fun Christmas flying to Dallas, Texas to be with Garett, Larissa and Braiden. We hadn't seen them since New Year's 2009. So they showed us where they live and met some friends and where they have been going to school, church, shopping, looking for homes doing business etc. We had so much pleasure in getting to know Braiden.
The took us to see the Dallas Temple, the new Cowboy's stadium, the old stadium, the Maverick's stadium, the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, -we didn't see the inside of all these-that will be for another time, but we did get to see" The Bodies Exhibition" that was in Downtown Dallas. We enjoyed that. The human body is amazing.
We went to the movie Avatar at the theater, ate out some and also watched lots of movies and ate lots of good food at home.
Christmas morning was fun watching Braiden! And snow in Dallas was an unusual occurrence.
Then we came home-it was sooo hard to leave that little family--. But we came home to all the rest of them at our house for New Year's. We had 17 here for three days. They all helped with food, watched football, opened gifts, went sledding behind the 4 wheelers and visited. We talked with Garett over the phone, I think he missed being here too.
We had June and Leon over for New Year's dinner, so we had a houseful. My mom has spent the winter in Oregon with her sister. We put her on the plane for there the same morning that we flew out to Dallas.
Now we have made it threw the rest of the winter. I spent the rest of January with sickness. First the flu and then developed pnuemonia. Brett stays pretty healthy and is now lambing and calving and loading out hay and grain. So we have lots of little lambs and a few calves if our grandkids or nieces and nephews and kids want to come see them. But we still have snow!! So you need your boots.
